A sticky post function would be essential if you got an announcement or important messages that are needed to be told to every visitor of your blog. A forum would have that function but unluckily, most blog does not have that featured installed.
There was a request at the Web Site Software Ideas page to make it easy to create sticky posts.
It’s useful to have a particular post stay at the top of the home page, it would be great if I could post some sticky random text there as well.
You can set the ID of the sticky post and create your own block of sticky text
To find the ID of any post, Mouse click on a post on the left column, the ID is on the Bottom.
Enter the ID to Tools, Options, Sticky Posts ID field, more IDs separated by ,
