By default, articles in the Web Site Software are written using the MarkDown format. Any page is converted from markdown to html by Web Site Software. Markdown understands text formatted as it would be in an email, and is quite smart about converting it to html.

The html and css to support horizontal navigation are already present in Web Site Software, they're just disabled by default. steps to enable top nav:

  1. Click menu Tools, Options, Link

  2. Enter title and URL, for example:

  3. Click “Apply” button to save settings.

Smartypants substitutions

  1. `` text '' is translated to “text”.
  2. "double-quoted text" becomes “double-quoted text”
  3. 'single-quoted text' becomes ‘single-quoted text’
  4. don't is “don’t.” as well as anything-else’t. (But foo'tbar is just foo'tbar.)
  5. And it's is “it’s,” as well as anything-else’s (except not foo'sbar and the like.)
